Life Coaching is an interactive process that supports individuals to set and achieve their work and life goals. The process involves assessing the current situation, setting goals and agreeing the actions needed to achieve those goals.
Most of us struggle to understand what we want in life and only have a vague idea of what would improve it for us. We may feel more fulfilled in some areas than others, yet feel daunted about taking that first step to make changes to become fulfilled in all areas. At Positive Changes Within I adopt a Cognitive Behavioural Coaching approach, which applies the concepts and methods of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to the practice of coaching. This works on the fact that how you feel impacts on the way you think, which ultimately impacts on your behaviour and the actions that you take.
Cognitive Behavioural Coaching focuses on the future and finding solutions to clients’ challenges, by developing positive thoughts and behaviours. It is client-centred, so that sessions are always based on the client’s agenda and their views of situations and goals.
